About the Role

As a Front Desk Associate, you are the face of the hotel—the first smile guests see when they arrive and the lasting impression they take with them when they leave. This role goes beyond check-ins and check-outs; it’s about creating a seamless, personalized, and memorable stay for every guest.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine hospitality make all the difference.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Greet every guest warmly and professionally, creating an immediate sense of welcome
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently while ensuring accuracy and attention to guest preferences
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance, recommendations, and solutions
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly, calmly, and effectively, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty

Front Desk Operations

  • Manage reservations, room assignments, and special requests using hotel systems
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, and hotel policies
  • Accurately process payments, verify billing details, and handle cash/credit transactions
  • Ensure all required documentation and records are completed and organized

Communication & Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure rooms are ready and guest needs are met
  • Communicate important guest information, requests, and issues across departments
  • Provide clear and helpful information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions

Professional Presence

  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Uphold brand standards and represent the values of IHG in every interaction
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting coworkers during busy periods

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new systems
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or retail
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems
  • Experience handling cash and financial transactions
