Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items with precision and care, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations, following strict food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing, plating, and portioning ingredients while adhering to food handling safety guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, blenders, and warming stations
- Manage manual handling tasks such as lifting supplies and weight handling in the workplace while following proper ergonomic practices
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handle customer payments with professionalism
- Engage in in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests or dietary needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures to ensure a hygienic environment
- Experience with food preparation techniques and operating kitchen equipment effectively
- Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with wine knowledge or beverage service is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
