What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant PT/FT position at Holiday Inn Exp/Inver Grove Heights?
Maintains the cleanliness of the hotel’s linen supply and public areas
- Sorts laundry prior to washing
- Pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading the washers
- Loads washers and dryers to recommended weights
- Saves energy by setting dryers for proper heating and cooling times
- Monitors usage of water to maximize consumption
- Informs supervisor of any equipment failures or supply shortage
- Maintains cleanliness of public areas, remove trash, sweep/mop etc
- Completes inventory of stock as requested
Adheres to hotel policies and procedures
- Maintains knowledge of and complies with all department policies
- Maintains cleanliness of laundry room
- Attends work on time as scheduled
- Uses equipment and chemicals in accordance with hotel’s safety procedures
- Adheres to all health, sanitation and safety rules and procedures
- Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
- Provides genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
- Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and works to resolve
- Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
