Duties
- Assist in overseeing all store functions, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service
- Lead and supervise staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to promote a high-performing team
- Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a skilled workforce
- Coordinate shift management, scheduling, and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth daily operations
- Conduct inventory control activities such as stock replenishment, purchasing, pricing adjustments, and shrink reduction
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, sales management, and reporting; ensure accurate bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Implement marketing initiatives to boost sales and enhance store visibility within the community
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong background in retail math, sales management, and budgeting to meet financial goals
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster positive customer interactions
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Demonstrated expertise in employee training & development, merchandising, inventory control, and POS systems
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail sales is highly desirable
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is an added advantage
- Must have a minimum of 5 years AGM or IHG experience.
