Housekeeping Attendant

Job Summary

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning to ensure a spotless environment.
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items efficiently.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and janitorial tools.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate professionally with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and address any special requests.
• Maintain organized cleaning schedules and manage time effectively to complete all assigned tasks promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to perform outdoor work as needed for exterior space upkeep or outdoor cleaning tasks.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the day.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities for client interaction.
• Experience with residential housekeeping or hospitality environments is a plus.
