Holiday Inn Binghamton is seeking reliable, motivated individuals to join our kitchen team. We currently have openings for a Dishwasher and Breakfast Cook. Dishwasher
Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial dishwasher and wash glassware/pots by hand when needed
- Clean and restock kitchen areas for the next shift
- Empty and clean trash receptacles
- Clean beverage machines daily
- Rotate and store dishes properly
- Maintain dish storage areas
- Follow all sanitation policies
- Assist kitchen staff during peak times
- Perform opening, closing, and side work
- Clean spills or broken glassware promptly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy items
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Breakfast Cook
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stock stations with necessary food and supplies
- Prepare ingredients (chopping, portioning, sauces, etc.)
- Cook menu items to chef specifications
- Follow directions from the executive and sous chef
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and timely service
- Clean station and properly store leftovers
- Maintain inventory and restock as needed
- Comply with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and guests
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years cooking experience in a restaurant or banquet setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/bend/squat for up to 8 hours
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
- Accuracy, speed, and familiarity with industry best practices
- Culinary school diploma preferred but not required
