What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Holiday Cafe?
Server duties can include:
- Greeting and seating guests
- Taking guest orders
- Pricing tickets
- Delivering food and beverages to guests
- Taking cash and making change
- End of shift clean up which includes table fills, server station restocking, vacuuming, sweeping tile, cleaning server station, and cleaning bathrooms
Experience is preffered, but not required; we are willing to train. Shifts will be mornings, Saturdays are required.
Servers start at $4/hr and up, depending on experience, plus tips (average $15 to $20 per hour in the off-season, $20 in summer). We might offer hours hosting to fill in, hosting pays $15/hr.
Hosting duties can include:
- Greeting and seating guests
- Taking beverage orders for guests and delivering the beverages
- Assisting servers with food delivery
- Bussing and cleaning tables
- Keeping the dining room organized and running smoothly
- Helping with end-of-shift clean up which could include table fills, sweeping, mopping, or helping put away dishes
Pay: $14.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 35.0 per week
