A DAY IN THE LIFE
In the Maintenance Tech position, you will be responsible for for ensuring that all rental properties are well maintained in accordance with Holiday Beach Companies' standards, safety and security.
Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities
- Create work schedules and ensure that all shifts are covered with the appropriate personnel. Adjust schedules as needed to meet business demands.
- Maintain proper equipment and supply inventory; issue tools, equipment and supplies as needed; ensure all equipment is in safe working order.
- Review current and past due work orders; prioritize, reschedule, and ensure work orders are completed timely and to customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Holiday Beach staff to identify and ensure that preventative maintenance is scheduled and completed timely.
- Train all new maintenance techs on standards, equipment, how to close orders, chain of command, etc.
- Ensure that work vehicles are maintained in safe working order, cleaned weekly and that any body damage is reported immediately.
- Inspect homes before/after repair to ensure work is completed right the first time; provide feedback to techs on necessary work improvements and/or disciplinary actions.
- Other duties as assigned
Work Days
We are open 7 days per week however, you will be scheduled for a 40 hour work week, with two consecutive days off
- must be able to work all weekends, and have availability to work holidays and overtime/after hours when required.
Physical Requirements
- Able to walk up multiple flights of stairs
- Able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders, crawl under a house, bend, twist, etc.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous management experience.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Previous experience with minor home maintenance and repair.
- Team player - proactively help co-workers in the success of the company.
- Maintain a positive attitude and is enthusiastic.
- Attention to detail - ensure that repairs are completed right the first time.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- General passion for creative problem-solving
- Valid driver's license
