What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist position at Holding Space Psychotherapy?
Holding Space Psychotherapy is a psychotherapy practice . We are seeking to hire a qualified therapist to join our team. This is a new location. We have expanded our services to 3 locations at this time and we continue to thrive as a practice.
This is not an employee position, it is a 1099 position. There are many positive aspects to being paid in this structure. You are paid more, you set your own schedule, your own breaks. We can provide you weekly supervision if you are not independently licensed.
The mission of the practice is to provide counseling, advocacy and resources to the clients that we serve. Our goal is to provide holistic care for women, families, and children. Holding Space Psychotherapy offers individual, couples and group therapy, and psychiatry services on site.We are specifically seeking to hire a therapist that is trauma informed, EMDR certified recommended but not a must, and that works specifically with CHILDREN and or adults. This is for our new Millersburg location and at least 50% of work hours are required to be in person. Qualifications
- Applicants must hold Master’s degree or higher in social work, professional counseling, clinical psychology or marital and family therapy and must be fully licensed (LISW/LISW-S, LCPC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychology – PhD/PsyD) or nearing full licensure (within the next 6 months). Will consider LSW/LPC but must have supervision provided.
- Must have a basic therapeutic framework and foundation for treating perinatal mental health disorders. With the understanding that clinicians are always deepening their skills and knowledge, candidates must at least have previous field experience in working with women and their families in a clinical capacity. The clinician must be trauma informed and open to discussing and exploring the client-therapist relationship.
- Ability to interact effectively, sensitively, and professionally with clients, fellow employees and professional community.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Therapists must complete and manage electronic notes and scheduling within 24 hours of the appointment session
- Candidates should reserve a minimum of 8-10 hours of time per week for shifts at Holding Space Psychotherapy.
