What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Installer Helper position at HOLDER SERVICE COMPANY?
We are a locally family owned HVAC/Electrical business that is currently looking for a HVAC Installer/Helper Tech to join our team!
This position is for someone that is dependable, teachable, and willing learn how to install HVAC and duct systems properly and professionally.
We do work in crawlspaces and in attics on occasion depending on the install.
You will be installing hvac equipment and duct systems and learn how repair heating and air conditioning systems.
We are not a high pressure HVAC sales company that requires you to up sale or make unnecessary recommendations to our customers. Our customer base demands honesty and integrity and that is what we strive for. We let the quality of our work and our dedication to service do the selling for us. Company vehicle provided. This is a full time position, but there will be times where more than 40 hours a week will be necessary. Pay is between $16-$22/hr. depending on experience and or qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to homes and businesses on a daily basis as scheduled
- Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues
- Repair damaged HVAC systems
- Install and repair duct systems in homes and commercial settings.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 1 or more years previous experience in HVAC service/installations preferred but not required
- EPA certification is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams and system troubleshooting preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong Customer Service with verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand
- Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations.
- Must have valid TN State Drivers License
- We are a smoke free, tobacco free, drug free work environment. Employees will have to pass a drug-screening.
- Willing to work 40 hours/week with above average attendance record.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Experience:
- HVAC INSTALLATION: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
- HVAC SERVICE: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
Education:
- A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- NATE Certification preferred but not required.
- HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.
Location:
- Based in Lewisburg, TN 37091
- We service the Middle TN Area
License:
- EPA (Preferred but not required)
- TN State Driver's License with clean driving record (Required)
