Holdenville General Hospital is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (FULL TIME) to support our Med/Surg unit. This role is perfect for an LPN who enjoys a broad scope of practice, close collaboration with RNs and providers, and caring for patients across the lifespan.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, age-appropriate nursing care within LPN scope under RN/provider direction.
- Perform focused assessments and report changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments per policy; start/monitor IVs per state scope and hospital policy.
- Support admissions, discharges, and patient/family education.
- Complete accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
- Assist with specimen collection, wound care, catheter care, and basic telemetry monitoring.
- Promote a clean, safe environment and follow infection-prevention practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Required:
Current LPN license in good standing (state of Oklahoma or compact).
- BLS certification.
Preferred:
Experience in critical access/rural hospital settings; ability to cross-train to Swing Bed.
- EHR proficiency (e.g., Cerner, Epic, Meditech).
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
- Sound clinical judgment and attention to detail in a fast-moving, small-team environment.
