Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused licensed Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical products and services, providing exceptional care to our clients while ensuring their vision needs are met by frame selection, lens options, and fitting eyewear, contact lens orders, insertion & removal all while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their vision needs and personal style.
- Provide detailed explanations of lens options, coatings, and other optical products.
- Perform fittings and adjustments to ensure proper alignment and comfort of eyewear.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to patient interactions.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
- Manage inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist in pricing, sales tracking, and inventory management.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the practice.
Requirements
- Experience in optical sales is required.
- Familiarity with medical records management, medical coding, and billing processes is preferred .
- Strong understanding of optical systems and products.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
