Responsibilities
- Maintain, service, and repair heavy equipment and semi-trucks to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and efficiently, performing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns at various job sites, traveling as needed to perform repairs on-site.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and vehicles.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Travel frequently to different job sites, often requiring flexibility in schedule and location.
- Provide your own tools necessary for performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role, with a strong understanding of heavy machinery and semi-trucks.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and accurately.
- Willingness to travel regularly to various job sites for maintenance and repair work.
- Must have own set of tools suitable for heavy equipment repair tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards.
