The Medical Receptionist will serve as the front line of our Direct Primary Care clinic, managing patient interactions and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, registering patients, and managing front desk communications. The receptionist will handle a medium volume of patient interactions daily, maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment.
Work Requirements
- Two regularly scheduled days each week (7:50am - 4:30pm), Monday - Thursday (actual work days can vary depending on need/availability)
- Ability to help cover when coworkers are on vacation or ill
- No evenings, weekends, or holidays!
Responsibilities
- Answer and route phone calls promptly and courteously
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar efficiently
- Oversee front desk operations and maintain a professional reception area
- Register patients accurately and update their information in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical reception within a healthcare setting
- Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient data management
- Effective time management to handle medium patient volumes
