Position Summary
The Property Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for assigned properties and ensuring all accounting functions are completed in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a complete set of books for assigned properties
- Handle billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Record journal entries and adjustments
- Generate and distribute monthly financial statements
- Communicate professionally with property owners, tenants, and vendors
- Ensure all reporting deadlines are met, and tasks are completed on schedule
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Yardi Property Management/Construction software is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of attention to detail
Work Environment
- Professional office setting with a collaborative team atmosphere
- Primarily desk work, involving computer and phone use
- Standard business hours, Monday-Friday
