Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a clear vision for the after-school programs across all assigned schools, ensuring high-quality program delivery that meets or exceeds established standards
• Oversee the implementation of program curricula, ensuring age-appropriate and engaging activities that align with learning objectives and community needs
• Lead the planning of new programs and activities, and regularly evaluate program effectiveness using data to assess impact on student achievement, attendance, and overall success
• Make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement
• Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple after-school program sites and staff, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. This includes scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining appropriate staff-to-student ratios
• Maintain direct profit and loss responsibility for assigned programs. This includes setting and reviewing site budgets, controlling costs, managing expenditures, and ensuring financial solvency and accountability across all sites
• Oversee the condition and cleanliness of all program sites, ensuring a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained environment for children and staff. This may involve coordinating with school administration or facility managers
• Ensure proper inventory control of supplies and equipment at each site, and source suppliers and contractors as needed
• Implement safety and security plans, conduct frequent risk assessments, and ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures and child safeguarding policies
• Supervision and Leadership: Directly supervise and provide day-to-day leadership to Site Managers/Coordinators and other program staff within their schools. This includes motivating teams, setting high expectations, and fostering a positive work environment
• Oversee the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified program staff for all sites. Provide coaching and mentoring to support employee growth
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with school principals and other school administration, ensuring programs align with school-day curriculum and needs
• Foster strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community members. This includes effective communication about program activities, student progress. and addressing concerns. Encourage parental involvement
• Effectively address and resolve conflicts that may arise among staff, students, or with parents/school personnel
• Ad-hoc administrative tasks
• Visit different schools
  
  

Requirements

• An educational background in education, child development, or a related field is highly preferred
• Passion for education and working with kids
• Financial acumen and experience with budget management
• Strong leadership and professionalism skills when working with schools and students
• Experience working in schools and leading large teams
• Ability to engage and inspire students in a fun and educational environment
• Ability and willingness to complete 6 hours of online training prior to the start date. (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR)
  
  

Pay range: $32-$38

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5 hours a day
