As the Senior Manager of Brand Planning overseeing the Road & Trail Footwear categories, you will serve as a strategic advisor and planning partner to Brand Leadership, Product, and Merchandising teams. You will translate HOKA’s long-term brand strategy into actionable, data-driven financial and operational plans that guide decision-making across the business.
In this role, you will lead both long-range (5-Year) planning and Seasonal Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP), ensuring alignment to brand strategy, product lifecycle, and marketplace priorities. You will influence cross-functional teams, provide executive-level insights, and help evolve planning capabilities, tools, and ways of working across HOKA and the broader Deckers organization.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
- Long-Range & Strategic Brand Planning
- Lead development of the 5-Year Brand Plan across fiscal years, seasons, categories, and key franchises
- Align plans with brand strategy, product lifecycle, and financial targets
- Partner with Brand Leadership, Finance, and Merchandising to drive alignment and clarity on long-term priorities
- Seasonal Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP)
- Develop seasonal financial plans that ladder to long-term targets and KPIs
- Provide strategic guidance on SKU productivity, assortment architecture, and lifecycle management
- Support S&OP processes with clear reporting and actionable insights
- Planning Insights & Business Performance
- Deliver executive-level insights on risks, opportunities, and performance trends
- Translate marketplace trends, competitive intelligence, and seasonal hindsight into forward-looking strategies
- Build executive-ready reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis to support decision-making
- Planning Insights & Business Performance
- Influence and align cross-functional teams across Product, Merchandising, Finance, and Marketing
- Drive consensus and clarity across a complex, matrixed organization
- Champion continuous improvement in planning tools, processes, and operating rhythms
- Serve as a trusted thought partner, bringing perspective—not just data—to key business decisions
- Curious, strategic, and analytically rigorous, with strong financial acumen
- An influential communicator who can translate data into clear, compelling narratives
- Have strong experience in the footwear and apparel industry, ideally in performance/athletic categories
- Demonstrate a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 6 years of experience across strategic planning, merchandising, consulting, category management, or product operations
- Experience in performance running footwear or performance trail footwear categories
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional initiatives
- Deep understanding of financial planning, KPIs, and merchandise planning concepts
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau or data visualization tools preferred
