What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Planner position at Hogue Inc.?
We’re seeking a skilled Manufacturing Planner with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining efficient production plans that ensure on-time delivery, optimal resource utilization, and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and inventory targets
- Coordinate cross-functional activities between purchasing, engineering, and production teams
- Monitor and adjust plans based on capacity, resource availability, and project changes
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Maintain accurate planning records, BOMs, and work orders in the ERP system
- Collaborate on forecast planning with supply chain and operations leadership
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning or production scheduling
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Epicor, or similar)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or related field preferred
Location & Commitments
- Full-time, permanent position located at a facility in Paso Robles, CA
- In-office work schedule: 5 days per week.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working with machinery and in a production environment
Eligibility Requirements
- Pass pre-employment medical physical and drug screening.
- Clear a Federal Criminal Background Check (ATF permit requirement).
- Provide documentation of eligibility to work in the United States upon hire.
