Experienced Auto Body Paint Technician

Hoglund Body & Equipment is seeking an experienced Paint Technician to join our team working four, 10-hour shifts. We are a family owned, commercial vehicle body repair shop located in Monticello, MN. We operate two separate facilities totaling 50,000 square feet. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and paint matching technology. Our focus is continued growth in the body repair industry and investing in our team members.

As a paint technician, you will be responsible for refinishing any vehicle that comes into our body shop from start to finish with minimal direction.

• Read, comprehend, and repair a vehicle per the repair order.
• Review work completed to ensure quality of paint job.
• Use paint supplies and material in a practical and economical manner.
• Demonstrate quality and pride in repairs.
• Notify management of any concerns that will affect the repair quality or promise time.
• Maintain clean tools, equipment, and work area.
• Maintain and wear all required safety protection equipment, including a respirator when necessary.
• Understand and comply with all federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA RighttoKnow, etc.
• Follow Hoglund Body & Equipment's SOPs and ask for clarification when needed.
• Follow the Company's Culture and Mission Statement.
• Maintain a positive attitude while focusing on selfimprovement.
EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTSEducation:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing Degree and/or ICAR Certification preferred
Experience:
• 2 years as a paint technician in the automotive repair industry
Skills & Abilities:
• Physical ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Position requires the ability to frequently stand, climb stairs, and climb ladders throughout shifts
• Time management skills
• Communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with teams efficiently
