What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Coordinator position at HOGBOX?
Reports to: Accounting Specialist
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable
- Invoicing to clients
- Cash Applications, review and make deposits and apply cash to outstanding A/R
- Monitor and call clients for timely collection of cash, and escalate to manager when appropriate
- Process and reconcile credit card transactions to the general ledger
- Work with other departments as needed to obtain approvals for accounts payable
- Vouchering of accounts payable
- Sales tax reporting
- Support for financial and regulatory reporting (i.e. 1099’s, franchise reporting, DOT, etc.)
- Manage processing of purchased equipment and fixed asset tracking.
- Back up for key areas for Accounting Specialist
- Ability to surface questions to clarify end goal as needed
- Other duties as needed
- Must be able to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies
Required Skills & Experience:
- AA Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three to five years’ experience
- Accurate and timely data entry skills are a must
- Sharp attention to small details
- Working knowledge of MS excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing deadlines.
