What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desk Service/Security Personel position at HOGAR Inc?
Front desk/security personnel are responsible for the safety and security of the housing program. They shall control access to the building, monitor a sign-in log and intervene in certain conflict situations, and summon the police and fire departments when necessary. Front desk/security personnel shall be expected to respond to tenant emergencies during overnight hours and when case managers are not on-duty. Staff are supervised by and report to the Program Director.
This is an exempt position. The following listing of assignments, tasks and activities is not intended to be all inclusive, but is intended to reflect a level of performance.
1. Insure the safety and security of all residents, visitors and staff.
2. Monitor and maintain sign-in/-out log, and, ensures that all guests and visitors sign-in and sign-out of the building.
3. Respond to all resident emergencies when case management staff is not on-duty.
4. Summon the police department and/or fire department in cases of emergency and when appropriate.
5. Summon local emergency unit when appropriate.
6. Intervene with residents in conflict situations as defined by the organization and the Program Director.
7. May conduct fire drills and other evacuation drills.
8.May never leave the front desk unoccupied
9.Insure that tenant and program property is safe and secure.
10. Provide the Program Director with written and verbal reports as required.
11. Perform related duties as requested by the Program Director.
Minimum Qualifications
High School or Equivalency Diploma and completion of State required courses. Prior experience as a security officer is helpful. Possession of, or willingness to obtain, an S95 Fire Guard certification that is transferable to H.O.G.A.R., Inc. or is obtained before the probationary period is over is required. Pay: $22.11 - $26.63 per hour
