What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Account Specialist position at Hogan Lovells?
Hogan Lovells is seeking a detail-oriented professional with legal billing experience to join our team as a Client Account Specialist (CAS). In this role, you’ll manage the full billing and collections cycle for a portfolio of client matters, working closely with lawyers and clients to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely invoicing.
This is a full-time position with core hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including one hour for lunch. Flexibility for additional hours and occasional travel may be required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage billing and collections from engagement through payment
- Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and fee arrangements
- Prepare and submit accurate invoices and eBills
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams
- Monitor billing trends and prepare forecasts and reports
- Troubleshoot eBilling issues and follow up on collections
- Contribute to process improvements and team collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of experience in legal billing, eBilling, and/or account management
- Law firm or professional services experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with eBilling platforms (e.g., TyMetrix, CounselLink, LegalTracker)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Spanish language skills a plus

The annualized salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. In addition, full time employees as well as some part time employees, will be eligible for the firm’s fringe benefits as they currently exist.
This position will adhere to a four day in office, and one day remote hybrid work policy.
