Hog Tide Bar-B-Que - Willard Mo. is a fast casual, destination restaurant providing diners world championship competition BBQ. Just a 15 minute drive from Springfield, our small hometown Willard location services many from surrounding areas around Springfield. We are proud to have been voted with multiple awards for best BBQ in the Ozarks over the past 4 years. The restaurant is supported by our flagship location in Aurora Mo.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable, fast-paced team member to join our restaurant team. This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders on the POS system, order fill the ticket from the meat and side stations, ensuring every ticket is completed correctly, hot, fresh, and ready for service. The team member will also run food to customers, process to go orders for the drive thru, prep food and wash dishes as needed.

The ideal candidate works well under pressure, communicates effectively with the rest of the team, maintains a clean and organized work area, and takes pride in providing consistent food quality and portion control.

Responsibilities

• Point of Sell system for taking orders.
• Read and accurately fulfill orders on meat and side station.
• Prepare and portion meats according to established recipes, standards, and ticket instructions.
• Prepare and portion side items accurately and consistently.
• Ensure all items on a ticket are completed and ready for the expo line.
• Run food to customers and focus on hospitality management.
• Monitor ticket times and prioritize orders appropriately during busy periods.
• Check orders for accuracy, proper portions, presentation, and completeness.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food safety procedures.
• Restock meats, sides, sauces, containers, and other necessary supplies as needed.
• Keep point of sell area, meat and side stations clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.
• Follow all sanitation, food handling, and safety procedures.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Minimize food waste by following portioning and preparation standards.
• Complete opening, closing, and station-cleaning duties as assigned.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guides, and ticket instructions.
• Ability to lean the Point of Sell system and menu for accurate order taking.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized during busy service periods.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
• Ability to lift and carry food products and supplies as needed.
• Must be willing to follow all food safety and sanitation requirements.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
