JOB SUMMARY:
Hog Slat, Inc. the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking a 2nd shift Lead with excellent reasoning and mathematical skills to join the team at our Clinton, Nc Manufacturing location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business conditions change.
- Direct workflow to ensure production standards are being met for department
- Log all production and system transactions in AX
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners.
- Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
- Operates drill presses, pneumatic and hard tools or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations
- Adhere to all safety procedures
- Train new associates, manage shift coverage, and foster a collaborative, solutions-driven work environment.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have the following experience/educational background:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds on a daily basis
- Staple work history required
- Data entry and general computer skills
- Strong conflict resolution, time management, and hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Fluent in English and Spanish
