Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. At least 2 years prior experience working with young children in a New York State Office of Children and Family Services ( NYSOCFS ) licensed program. Understands and respects children and their developmental needs and interests.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Education component/specialization preferred. Experience working in a National Association for the Education of the Young Children ( NAEYC ) accredited childcare center a plus. Demonstrates knowledge of the NAEYC Accreditation Standards, NAEYC accreditation process and Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum preferred. Work experience with infants and toddlers preferred.
