A master’s degree and teaching experience. Candidates must be available to begin teaching in the spring 2026 semester. Capable of teaching digital storytelling with photos, video, audio, and data, and how to edit media with industry-standard software. Can teach introductory to advanced reporting courses for multiple platforms and/or data journalism, which include practical and ethical considerations in gathering, analyzing, and visualizing reputable data Be adept at leveraging social media for journalistic ends. Have an understanding of the ethical, economic, and technological challenges facing the changing media landscape and demonstrate innovative approaches to addressing them in an undergraduate and graduate curriculum.
