We specialize in insurance defense, running a completely paperless office, and doing a variety of district court and administrative workers’ compensation work. We are a litigation focused firm looking for a newly licensed attorney or an attorney looking for a new challenge.
This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Associate Attorney will work closely with clients, providing legal advice and representation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.
- Lead the litigation process by preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Provide legal counsel on matters related to insurance defense, workers' compensation defense, and general liability defense.
- Represent clients in negotiations and litigation proceedings to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases while managing a caseload independently.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to advocate for clients effectively.
