Position Summary: The Project Management Support Coordinator provides workforce and labor program support for the Micron ID1/ID2 project, with primary responsibility for administering and supporting the Trade Labor Program. This role serves as a key liaison between Micron, workforce leaders, labor organizations, contractors, and community partners to optimize workforce availability, strengthen skilled workforce retention, and support successful execution of labor strategies required to achieve project construction goals.

 

The Project Management Support Coordinator will monitor workforce trends, facilitate stakeholder engagement, manage labor-related issues, and support workforce development initiatives throughout project lifecycles. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administer and oversee the Trade Labor Program in accordance with established program requirements and project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all Trade Labor Program requirements, agreements, policies, and reporting obligations.
  • Monitor workforce participation and labor program performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and mitigation of workforce challenges.
  • Manage trade labor issues and grievances, coordinating resolution efforts with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with workforce leaders, contractors, and Micron representatives to review workforce demands, labor availability, and identify potential challenges related to recruitment and retention of skilled labor.
  • Evaluate workforce trends and recommend strategies to ensure the Micron campus can attract and retain sufficient skilled labor to support construction activities.
  • Develop and provide regular trade labor forecasts, workforce trend analyses, and workforce availability reports.
  • Track and report trade labor incentive data, forecasts, and emerging trends.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with unions, trade organizations, and labor-related stakeholders regarding labor agreements, workforce initiatives, and incentive programs.
  • Foster strong relationships among project stakeholders to promote workforce stability and collaboration.
  • Coordinate and participate in workforce planning discussions with project teams and external partners.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to collect, manage, analyze, and report workforce-related data.
  • Maintain accurate workforce records and reporting systems to support project decision-making and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and workforce performance updates for project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support workforce development initiatives and community outreach programs designed to expand the construction labor pool.
  • Engage with Minority-, Women-, and Emerging Small Business (MWESB) organizations to promote workforce opportunities.
  • Build relationships with trade labor organizations and workforce development groups focused on workforce participation, training, and diversity.
  • Collaborate with technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, and training institutions to strengthen workforce pipelines throughout Idaho and surrounding regions.
  • Identify and implement workforce outreach and development best practices that support labor recruitment efforts in the Boise market.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills:

  • Experience in project coordination, workforce development, construction workforce planning, labor relations, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of construction labor markets, trade labor agreements, apprenticeship programs, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Experience working with unions, trade organizations, contractors, and community partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data, labor forecasts, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Proficiency with workforce tracking, reporting, and data management tools.

 

Professional Experience and Education:

  • Experience supporting workforce planning, labor relations, workforce development, or project coordination initiatives.
  • Experience supporting large-scale construction, industrial, semiconductor, infrastructure, manufacturing, or similar projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with workforce compliance programs, labor agreements, and labor incentive programs preferred.
  • Experience developing partnerships with community organizations, technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, and workforce development agencies preferred.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Regular travel is required.
  • Must be available for in-person meetings with Micron and Boise, Idaho project site teams approximately 2-3 days every two weeks.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to project sites, stakeholder meetings, and workforce development events as needed.

 

Location:

  • Flexible work location with regular travel to Boise, Idaho project sites and stakeholder meetings.
