Role Purpose
Support the accounting team with daily operations and assist with accounting overflow while ensuring all DMV-related paperwork and reporting is accurate, compliant, and completed on time.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and submit DMV paperwork in accordance with state rules and deadlines
- Assist with deal breakdowns and prepare contracts for finance sources
- Coordinate lien payoffs and reconcile lien schedules
- Process daily accounting reports, including online motor vehicle submissions
- Reconcile DMV registration schedules and process customer refunds (with approval)
- Follow up on missing used vehicle titles
- Assist with quarterly audits (K-208s, used titles, certificates of origin, dealer plates)
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including vehicle receivables, DMV, and lien payoffs
- Support additional accounting tasks as needed by management
- Follow Hoffman Auto Group policies and privacy standards
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma required
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge and comfort using Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear communicator who works well in a team environment
- Dependable, professional, and deadline-focused
- Automotive or dealership experience is helpful, but not required
