What does a Used Vehicle Technician at Hoffman Auto Group do?
Role Purpose: Repair vehicles in a safe, efficient, ethical manner with customer satisfaction as first priority.
Leadership: This position does not lead others.
Core Accountabilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership guidelines
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, alignments, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Keep updated/receive training on automotive technology and industry-standard practices
- Maintain basic tools necessary to complete assigned jobs. Toolbox must be kept clean and orderly in the work area.
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies and Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred
- Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset
- Act as an advocate for teammates and have a strong commitment to technology advancement
- Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening.
- Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Salary : $24 - $28
