We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Accounting Department in the Buffalo office. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely billing services to our attorneys and paralegals together with fielding billing inquiries from our clients, attorneys and staff. You will be tasked with reviewing and editing detailed time charges to insure compliance with client and firm policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Three years’ experience working in a professional office environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and an understanding of accounting functions within a professional services environment; billing experience preferred.
- Commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Competent in the full range of computer software related to the position including relevant accounting packages, MSOffice suite.
- Customer focused, able to demonstrate specific instances of extraordinary client service, including identifying and anticipating needs, delivering to expectations and follow through.
- A strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing work that is accurate the first time.
- A high level of dependability in completing assigned tasks and in following through on assignments.
- Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment where team members support and learn from each other and coordinate to deliver the best outcome for the client.
- Ability to recognize problems early and correct them before they germinate.
- Initiative, perseverance and creativity in meeting stated objectives; able to effectively problem-solve around challenges to achieve objectives.

At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo is $49,200 to $60,450. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience and skill level.
