What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Hodges Development Corporation?
- Works in conjunction with the Property Manager and Facilities Manager to oversee an apartment complex
Diagnoses problems, makes repairs or replacements as needed
- Complete minor plumbing and electrical work to ensure functionality and safety
- Repair or replace appliances, fixtures, and hardware as needed
- Ensure all work is performed to meet property standards and safety regulations
- Maintain an inventory of materials and order supplies as necessary
- Work closely with the Property Manager to meet turnover timelines
- Document completed work and report any major issues or delays
- Participate in any and all maintenance team tasks including snow removal
- Work with the accounting team to review, approve, and code invoices
- Keep work areas clean and secure during and after tasks
- Assist with other maintenance tasks as directed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in property maintenance is required
- Experience with snow removal and on-call tasks is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills, particularly in relation to project management, are required
- Ability to coordinate with contractors to assist with business needs
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high property standards
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Physical stamina to perform both indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Good communication and teamwork skills to interact with staff, tenants, and management
- Valid driver’s license required
