Work in a high volume, fast-paced environment where you will work as part of our warehouse team, either as a manual kitting/packaging specialist or a kitting machine operator.  Skilled assemblers may be asked to float between positions at the supervisor's request to meet certain production schedules.  Both specializations require attention to detail, physical lifting and movement, and skills to meet or exceed kitting and packaging quotas to service customer orders. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) in our warehouse by providing exceptional service to our customers by fulfilling predetermined inventory and product needs.

• Safely operate and maintain a kitting machine or work from a manual packaging table to accurately assemble product and meet/exceed predetermined quotas. 
• Machine operators work independently running various packaging machines to accurately complete kitting/ packaging assignments.  
• Manual packaging specialists work from a stationary table to assemble packaging and assigned material.
• Ensure the proper material for order assignments are stocked at the beginning, during and end of your shift.
• Restock material as needed during shift - some materials require assistance of a fork lift operator to maintain inventory when workstation quantities run low.
• Ensure clarity on packaging requirements before starting your shift or beginning a new assignment.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace as well as maintenance assigned equipment - proactively record/report any issues or identify possible future concerns to warehouse leaders.
• Learn and demonstrate product knowledge while understanding customer needs and expectations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and a positive work environment.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Comfortable reading a computer screen, understanding general sequencing and doing basic data entry and troubleshooting when needed. 
• Possess professional customer service, communication and listening skills.
• Aptitude to work with industrial/engineered parts such as fasteners, hardware and special parts.
• Demonstrated application of general math skills; mechanically minded.
• General understanding of production lines, warehouse operations and production schedules.
• Proactive organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for accuracy, quality and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age 16 pursuing a high school diploma or possesses a high school diploma or the equivalent with basic math aptitude and reading skills
• Ability to focus, pay attention to detail and meet or exceed quality and production standards
• Familiarity with scan systems and basic comfort level with computers a plus
• Prior warehouse and kitting experience a plus
• Willingness and ability to work in a drug-free workplace as part of our Drug Free Safety Program and pass a 7-year criminal background screen
• Good physical condition with the ability to bend/lift stretch and regularly lift 50 pounds or more

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or the equivalent with basic math aptitude and reading skills
• Familiarity with scan systems and basic comfort level with computers
• Prior warehouse and customer service experience
