What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor position at Hockomock Young Men's Christian Association, Inc?
The Bernon Family Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA in Franklin, MA is hiring Swim Instructors. Aquatics Instructors are responsible for teaching swimming in accordance with the YMCA swim lesson guidelines and the philosophies and policies of the Hockomock Area YCMA. On-site training will be provided to all new hires.
Essential Functions
- Ability to tread water and swim a minimum of 100 yards
- Basic knowledge of all competitive strokes
- Work with, interact and engage with a diverse age range and population
- Attend all instructor in-services as required
- Arrive in a timely manner and complete all paperwork by given deadlines
- Be prepared with all necessary supplies to ensure class starts on time
- Communicate with parents, as needed
