Teachers are responsible for providing high-quality care and education while supporting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Working collaboratively with fellow educators, Teachers help create welcoming classrooms that foster curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Essential Functions
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff.
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play.
- Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development.
- Encourage positive behavior and model respectful interactions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and engaging classroom environments.
- Follow all YMCA, EEC, health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records as needed.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding their child's progress and daily experiences.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with classroom routines, including meals, transitions, outdoor play, and rest periods.
