The Hockomock Area YMCA's Foxboro Invensys Branch is looking for a friendly, dependable Teen Center Monitor to help create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for teens ages 10-17. This role offers the opportunity to build relationships, serve as a positive role model, and help plan engaging activities and events. The position is6-8 hours per week during afternoon or evening hours.
Essential Functions
- Supervise daily activities and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
- Actively participate in activities, projects, and events.
- Serve as a mentor by offering homework help, guidance, and a listening ear.
- Encourage friendships, inclusion, and positive interactions among teens.
- Recognize teens' positive choices and communicate accomplishments to parents and guardians.
- Enforce rules and boundaries fairly while helping teens learn from challenging situations.
- Assist with planning and leading on-site and off-site activities and events.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized Teen Center.
- Collaborate with directors and colleagues to address concerns and support program success.
