Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Attorney based in Lancaster, PA. The Attorney will handle day-to-day responsibilities including providing legal guidance, conducting legal research, and preparing legal documentation. The Attorney will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws while maintaining a high standard of professional service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal decision-making.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents relating to nonprofit organizations, business formation and compliance, and estate planning.
- Provide counsel on diverse practice areas including nonprofit organizations, business formation and compliance, and estate planning.
- Advise clients and internal teams on compliance with applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain accurate records of legal research and documentation within the law office management system.
- Collaborate with external counsel when necessary to ensure comprehensive legal support.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar within 12 months of hire.
- Prior experience in nonprofit organizations, business formation and compliance, or estate planning preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated experience practicing law in multiple fields such as nonprofit organizations, business formation and compliance, and estate planning.
- Proven ability to conduct detailed legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis platforms.
- Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and administrative documentation.
- Prior experience working in a busy law office environment with excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with negotiation strategies and client advocacy in various legal contexts.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations across different practice areas to provide accurate guidance.
