- Provide expertise, guidance and training in the area of strength training and physical conditioning for all student athletes and sports teams, as requested by the head coaches
- Schedule strength and conditioning workouts in cooperation with the head coach of each sport
- Set up the schedule of strength and conditioning workouts for each sport team
- Be present and punctual for all workouts with student athletes; any change in a scheduled workout must be approved by the Director of Athletics
- Provide athletes with guidance and proper training techniques for free weights and other strength training equipment
- Maintain the athletic weight room and keep records of all equipment in the weight room
- Update the Director of Athletics on equipment needs and/or upgrades recommended to provide athletes the best possible strength training equipment available
- Maintain up-to-date records on the strength program of each team and the individual workouts of every student athlete
- Return all phone calls and e-mails from head coaches and administrative staff promptly
- New Jersey Teacher Certificate or County Substitute Teacher Certificate
- CSCS Certification or Personal Trainer Certification or NHFS Certification (or its equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year experience in the field of strength and conditioning training at the high school or professional gym level
- Minimum 2 years coaching experience
- Strong commitment to the student-athlete concept
- Working knowledge of HBOE, county and state rules and regulations
