Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sign Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of signage systems across multiple locations. Your expertise in electrical diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and interpreting technical drawings will ensure that all signage projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Install new signage structures and electrical components according to schematics and technical drawings
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing signs, ensuring optimal operation and safety compliance
- Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to accurately troubleshoot problems
- Conduct inspections of signage installations, including electrical diagnostics and mechanical assessments
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of sign installation projects
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inspections for compliance and future reference
Requirements
- Proven experience with electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting in a signage or heavy equipment environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with heavy equipment mechanics or similar machinery
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures for signage systems
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Technical proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in diagnosing issues quickly and effectively
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by installation sites
