We are now seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team, working directly at our customer’s site in Elkhart, IN.
Position Summary
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the on-site point of contact for day-to-day technical support, helping users resolve hardware, software and network issues. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining operations, ensuring system reliability, and supporting infrastructure growth. Your work will contribute to both immediate problem-solving and long-term stability for our customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for end-user IT support on site: troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop/laptop hardware, software applications, networking and user access.
- Maintain, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, printers and other endpoints.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and devices within Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and device management tools.
- Provide support for core business systems (e.g., ERP or other applications), including user setup, permissions and troubleshooting.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding: provisioning and de-provisioning accounts, devices and access.
- Maintain IT documentation, knowledge base and asset inventory: track hardware, software and license usage.
- Collaborate with Hoalani Group consultants/solution architects on larger projects, system upgrades, and deployments.
- Support endpoint security practices and coordinate with security teams to apply patches or updates.
- Monitor system health, perform basic preventative maintenance, and escalate complex technical issues appropriately.
Qualifications
- 1 year of hands-on IT support or help-desk experience; desktop support experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Active Directory, user management and device administration.
- Familiarity with endpoint hardware (PCs, printers, laptops) and peripheral setup/troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Excellent customer service mindset and a sense of ownership; you must work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work on site in Elkhart, Indiana, full time.
Nice to Have
- Experience with an IT ticketing system (e.g., Freshdesk, Jira).
- Knowledge of endpoint protection software and basic cybersecurity concepts.
