Position Overview
The Cardiovascular Operating Room Manager assumes full operational responsibility for a complex, high-acuity environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and evidence-based perioperative care. This role oversees daily surgical operations, staffing optimization, labor productivity, and schedule management. The Manager partners closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and executive leadership to drive quality metrics, improve throughput, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 operations of the Cardiovascular Operating Room department.
- Oversee direct and indirect cardiovascular perioperative patient care.
- Plan, organize, and direct all CVOR services.
- Develop, monitor, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Optimize staff coverage, ensure competencies align with case complexity, and manage labor productivity.
- Review and coordinate the daily surgical schedule.
- Collaborate across departments to address staffing needs and manage census.
- Actively participate in department quality improvement processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to advance organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Nursing Degree required, Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ recent Cardiovascular Operating Room nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Minimum of 2 years’ management experience
- Active California RN License required.
- BLS Certification required.
- CNOR preferred.
