Hoag Health, the top-ranked health system in Orange County, CA is seeking a Cognitive & Memory Physician to join our growing program in Newport Beach, CA. The role will entail performing outpatient clinical care with the opportunity to work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.

The MCD program at Hoag provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment planning for individuals with neurodegenerative disease (namely, Alzheimer’s, FTD, and Lewy body). The program includes a growing monoclonal antibody program. Physicians and providers within the MCD are expected to be experts in both diagnosis (using bedside testing) and management (medications, education). Referrals come from within the Hoag system.

Details:
- Fulltime position: Schedule is Monday-Friday
- Outpatient-based role
- 10-12 patients treated daily on average
- Clinic locations will be Newport Beach, CA and Irvine, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care for patients with cognitive and memory disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and other neurodegenerative conditions
- Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives
- Collaborate with neuropsychologists, geriatricians, neurologists and other specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Contribute to the advancement of the field through research, innovation, and academic engagement

Qualifications:
- Formal training in behavioral neurology, cognitive neurology, neurology, geriatric psychiatry, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnosing and managing cognitive disorders
- Graduate from am ACGME program
- California Medical License or ability to obtain
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to collaborative care and scientific advancement
- Passion for clinical research and innovation
- Experience working in academic or research-oriented environments
- Ability to thrive in a team-based, multidisciplinary setting
