Intern employees are categorized as seasonal full-time employees and will accrue one (1) hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. Sick time accrual begins after 80 hours of consecutive employment in the state of Nebraska.

Position Summary
The Project Coordinator Intern will gain hands-on experience in government contract operations and project support. This role will assist with contract workflows, proposal development, interdepartmental coordination, and productivity tracking. With structured training and mentorship from experienced Program Managers, this position is ideal for a detail-oriented, motivated individual eager to grow in federal contracting, project management, and business development. The intern will be responsible for completing all tasks outlined in their summer project plans assigned by managers . Interns must participate in all mandatory internship programming, evaluation periods and professional development sessions . Attending sessions remotely will be determined and approved by program manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Required:
Travel is anticipated for all new interns and includes a site tour of Dynamic Homes in Detroit Lakes, MN, which typically requires an overnight trip . Lodging, transportation, and other travel expenses are provided. This does not apply to ANG Interns
Interns whose work location is in Sioux City, South Sioux City, Bellevue, Omaha, or Lincoln may be expected to travel to Winnebago, NE, for various professional development sessions with senior leaders within the company and community. Interns may be responsible for commuting to and from the assigned worksite for all required internship programming activities if no company vehicle is available. This does not apply to ANG or Dynamic Homes Interns.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Program Manager in managing small contract workflows, scheduling, and follow-up
- Monitor project personnel productivity to ensure contract milestones are met
- Support contract lifecycle activities using established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborate across departments (Human Resources, Payroll, Shared Services) to ensure consistent communication and integration
- Assist in reviewing contracts, writing responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and gathering data for Sources Sought responses
- Capture meeting notes, key discussion points, decision items, and action assignments to maintain accountability and transparency
- Help prepare internal documentation, schedules, and reports to support contract execution
- Participate in improving contract management systems and workflows by offering feedback and insights
- Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with AI tools or AI prompting techniques is a plus
- Comfortable working independently and following SOPs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with calendar management and task scheduling
Required:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business , Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Experience writing or editing technical content
- Internship or academic project experience in federal contracting or technical writing
- Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Knowledge of Shipley or similar proposal development methodologies
- Operates in a professional office environment
- Uses standard office equipment: computers, printers, phones, etc.
- May be required to lift office equipment up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to remain stationary for up to 75% of the workday
- Frequently moves about office to access files and attend meetings
