This opportunity entails being responsible for working directly with technical staff as part of a team to write and develop content for alternative delivery proposals. Alternative delivery includes project types such as design-build (DB), progressive design-build (PDB), modified progressive design-build (MPDB), construction manager general contractor (CMGC), and public-private-partnerships (P3). Will also perform coordinate with engineers and other technical staff to complete editing, formatting, and quality reviews to ensure consistency in written project communication materials. More specifically, this position will use all manner of word software editing tools (tracked changes, micros, etc.) to develop, edit and maintain Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and as needed addenda to procure a designer/contractor team to complete infrastructure projects. These projects can consist of transit, tunnel, airport, rail, highway, bridge and all combinations of these elements to meet needs infrastructure upgrades and capacity improvements. Having a technical engineering background is not required but is desirable. Other job duties could include assisting review or creation of reports and/or environmental documents as well as marketing documents. **What You’ll Do:** Works with Division Marketing and technical staff to write, format and edit content for written materials. Engages with pursuit teams in the development of win themes, differentiating messaging and compelling technical approaches for both proposals and presentations. Edits and formats content written by others, ensuring consistency in writing style and approach throughout various documents, often serving as proposal reviewer, and final independent quality check, as needed. Gathers information through research, statistical reports, and interviews with technical staff. May serve as a mentor to other marketing staff in sharpening writing skills. May facilitate writing workshops. Performs other duties as assigned. **What You’ll Need:** Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Communications or related field and 5 years of relevant experience **What We Prefer:** The documents that will be can be large consisting of up to 4 volumes with some volumes have up to 25 section, each section covering a different technical discipline such as drainage, bridges, geotechnical, traffic, project management, etc. The successful applicant will be organized, have an open personality, able to work virtually with staff around the country and have excellent verbal communication skills.
