Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Groundman to join our team. As a Groundman, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our team by assisting with various tasks related to maintaining and repairing telecommunication systems. Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up job sites and getting trucks ready for work
- Drive trucks with trailers to and from job sites
- Use and have knowledge of hand tools
- Support bucket truck operations
- Assist with hand digging and backfilling trenches and structures
- Assist crew with pulling and placing fiber and copper cable (underground and aerial)
Experience:
- Prior experience in groundman/laborer duties preferred
- Proficiency in operating bucket trucks and other equipment
- Knowledge of fiber and telecom construction is a plus
- Familiarity with bucket operations for elevated work
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must pass a drug test
- Must be willing to work 40-50 hours a week, be on call, and work at night when necessary
- Work in all weather conditions
- Willing to travel and stay out of town
- Class A CDL is a plus, but not required for this position
