POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our corporate team in Muscatine, IA.

The Financial Reporting Analyst serves as a key member of the Corporate Accounting organization, responsible for transforming complex financial information into clear, compelling, and executive-ready reporting for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and shareholders. Rather than preparing accounting entries or performing financial close activities, this role synthesizes financial information produced by accounting and finance teams into presentations, reports, visualizations, and written narratives that effectively communicate the organization’s financial performance.

Working closely with Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, and business unit finance teams, the Financial Reporting Analyst develops materials supporting Board meetings, executive leadership reviews, earnings communications, shareholder meetings, strategic initiatives, and other high-visibility corporate reporting

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate is an analytical professional who enjoys understanding how businesses perform and translating financial information into meaningful insights for executive audiences. They possess a solid foundation in finance and accounting but are equally passionate about communication, visualization, and presentation design.

Experience reviewing publicly available corporate financial documents—including annual reports (Form 10-K), quarterly reports (Form 10-Q), earnings releases, investor presentations, proxy statements, and SEC filings—is highly desirable. Candidates who have worked within financial services organizations, investment firms, valuation groups, consulting firms, or investor relations functions often bring the analytical discipline and business perspective well suited for this role.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize complex financial information into logical, concise, and visually compelling presentations.
  • Ensure reporting accurately communicates key financial results, trends, risks, and business drivers.

Financial Analysis & Data Synthesis

  • Analyze consolidated financial information prepared by Corporate Accounting and Finance teams to identify meaningful trends and performance drivers.
  • Gather, organize, and validate financial information from multiple business units and corporate functions.
  • Develop analyses supporting executive presentations related to:
    • Quarterly and annual financial performance
    • Business unit performance

Shareholder & Public Company Reporting Support

  • Support preparation of financial materials used in shareholder meetings, investor communications, and other public-facing financial presentations.
  • Develop charts, graphs, tables, and visualizations that communicate financial performance clearly and accurately.
  • Partner with Investor Relations and Corporate Communications to ensure financial messaging is consistent across external communications.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials supporting earnings releases, annual meetings, and other executive communications.
  • Support the presentation and organization of information included in SEC-related reporting and publicly released financial materials.

Financial Storytelling & Visualization

  • Translate complex financial analyses into clear, audience-appropriate narratives.
  • Design executive-quality visuals that improve understanding of financial performance.
  • Develop standardized presentation templates and reporting formats that improve consistency across executive reporting.
  • Balance analytical accuracy with effective visual communication and storytelling.
  • Continuously improve presentation quality, readability, and overall executive experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, and business unit finance teams to gather supporting information.
  • Coordinate with operating companies to obtain financial information supporting executive reporting.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to understand reporting objectives and presentation needs.
  • Build strong working relationships across finance, accounting, communications, and executive leadership.

Special Projects

  • Support executive-level strategic initiatives requiring financial analysis and presentation development.
  • Prepare financial reporting supporting acquisitions, business integrations, capital projects, restructuring initiatives, and enterprise transformation efforts.
  • Assist leadership with customized reporting requests for special meetings and strategic reviews.
  • Participate in enterprise reporting improvement initiatives and cross-functional finance projects.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Analysis, or a related discipline required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, valuation, investment analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, investor relations, equity research, management consulting, or similar analytical roles.
