The Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization’s corporate accounting and financial reporting processes, including monthly close activities, account reconciliations, and internal financial reporting. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Essential Responsibilities
Financial Close & General Accounting
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports and supporting schedules for leadership.
- Compile and analyze financial data to support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles.
- Support the consolidation of financial results across multiple operating entities.
- Analyze variances and provide insights into key drivers of financial performance.
- Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Assist in maintaining and testing internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance).
- Partner with internal audit and controls teams to support control documentation and remediation efforts.
- Ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Assist in providing documentation and support to external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries in a timely manner.
- Support financial reporting requirements, including disclosures and supporting analysis where applicable.
- Work with operating companies and internal departments to gather financial data and resolve accounting issues.
- Respond to accounting-related inquiries and provide guidance on financial processes.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and data accuracy.
- Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process standardization efforts.
- Support ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 2–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or financial reporting preferred.
- Exposure to multi-entity or consolidated financial environments preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or similar preferred).
- Familiarity with financial consolidation and reporting processes.
- Understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance frameworks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
