Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and visionary Director of Sports to lead our dynamic sports and recreation division. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for sports programs, events, and facility operations to maximize engagement and efficiency.
• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of sporting events, tournaments, and community outreach initiatives.
• Manage day-to-day operations of sports venues, ensuring safety standards, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance are upheld at all times.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate a diverse team of staff members, including coaches, event coordinators, and support personnel.
• Monitor budgets, control costs, handle cash transactions accurately, and ensure financial sustainability of programs.
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to enhance event quality and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure excellent guest services by fostering a welcoming environment that prioritizes customer satisfaction and safety.
• Utilize technical proficiency in management software and Microsoft Office tools to generate reports, analyze data, and inform managerial decisions.
• Enforce policies related to health & safety standards such as first aid procedures and CPR certifications among staff.
• Lead management meetings to review performance metrics, address challenges, and strategize improvements for ongoing success.

Experience

• Proven experience in nightclubs or event venues with a strong background in events management and operational oversight.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of supervising teams in fast-paced environments such as hospitality or resort settings.
• Extensive experience managing large-scale sporting or entertainment events from conception through execution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint for report writing and data analysis.
• Strong managerial decision-making skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Previous roles involving staff supervision, shift management, budgeting, cash handling, and operational management are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards combined with experience in resort or restaurant environments is advantageous.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred to ensure safety protocols are met during all activities.
