The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
Responsibilities:
- Mail and original document processing
- E-filing
- Preparation of documents for service, and monitoring service completion
- Mediation support to designated attorney
- Pre-trial and Trial preparation in connection with Judgment
- Monitoring and updating of lender/servicer systems of record to ensure compliance

- Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- This position is hybrid in Portland Maine
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
- Paralegal Certification preferred; or, 2 years of working experience as a paralegal
