This hybrid opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong research and writing capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload. The position is heavily focused on reviewing and analyzing legal documents, ensuring quality and compliance, while also providing exposure to litigation matters and court appearances as needed.
The successful candidate will be comfortable evaluating and prioritizing matters independently, identifying potential legal or procedural concerns, and ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and prepared in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze legal documents, court filings, pleadings, and case-related materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Identify legal, procedural, or documentation concerns and escalate issues requiring attorney review.

- Draft, edit, and review pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other case-related documents.
- Evaluate incoming matters and prioritize assignments based on urgency, complexity, deadlines, and business needs.
- Provide support throughout all phases of litigation matters.
- Appear at court hearings and proceedings when required.
- Track court deadlines, filings, pleadings, and other case-related obligations.
- Collaborate with legal teams, operational staff, clients, courts, and additional stakeholders to support efficient case progression.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, organization, and sound legal judgment across all assigned matters.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Connecticut Bar.
- At least two years of legal experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Working knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, and pleadings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to independently manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize legal and procedural issues.
- Sound judgment and the ability to appropriately assess and escalate matters when necessary.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team setting.
Work Environment
This position will initially be based on-site to support comprehensive training, team integration, and familiarity with the organization's processes and procedures. Following successful completion of the onboarding and training period, the role will transition to a hybrid work schedule.
While the primary focus of this opportunity is legal document review, analysis, and quality oversight, candidates should be comfortable supporting litigation-related matters and maintaining the flexibility to attend court appearances and work on-site when business or case demands require.
Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking an attorney who combines strong technical legal skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing a substantial workload while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness. They are comfortable working independently, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to efficient case management from inception through resolution.
